Eyeglass Care

You’ve made an investment in your glasses, make sure you take care of them properly.

Care and Cleaning

  • Although most lens materials resist scratches, scratch resistant coating is highly recommended
  • Never lay glasses down on their lenses
  • A protective case is the best place for your glasses to be when not in use
  • A fashionable cord allows you take them off without losing them or getting them damaged
  • Never clean glasses with a dry cloth or abrasive cleaning products. Paper towels are particularly hard on lenses. Do not use cloths washed with fabric softener.
  • Don’t use soap and home cleaners. Never use ammonia or acetone based products. These products can cause your lenses to scratch and peel.
  • It is best to use prepared cleaning cloths, micro wipes, and spray cleaners. Try to clean lenses once or twice a day to prevent smudges and dust particles from damaging the surface. These scratch free products won’t damage your lenses.
